Last year we moved. It was a really good move for us. Moving is always kind of a funny thing. It's like moving into someone else's house. You really got to take a season and make it your own.
The interior of our new place isn't necessarily my style. The light fixtures for one. blah. Gag me. They look like lava lamps on the ceiling Don't even get me started on the brass fixtures....So one of the first things I did when I moved here, was I took off all the door knobs and spray painted them.
I like the look of rubbed oil bronze from Rustoleum. This spray paint is THE BEST... so here's the before and afters of my little DIY project. Do not be fooled, this was not a one afternoon project. It took a lot of of elbow grease to get everything off, spray painted and back on to where to doors didn't creek or were actually hung right. I recommend two cans of spray paint, and an extra set of hands.
Granted, they aren't all perfect and I did touch them up with a sharpie too... I did however do the math and for the 10 doors I had to do, the cost for just going out and getting new fixtures, would've been $400. I spent a mere 14 on spray paint. woo!

Tiffany & Co.
Yep. This happened. I've never had anyone drop a little turquoise box on my desk before. He came at just the right time. I was having the worst day at work. I really love my husband. He just knows exactly how to treat me. He makes me feel like I'm the skinniest prettiest princess of them all. I wish every gal would get a little box like this some day. (ps, it was this really big awesome chunky silver ring
... WHICH I LOVE). Thank you hubs!

Here's the thing, I suck at writing and keeping up at this, but I still have things to say... so I'm going to say them. With no real promise of focus or some goal to start a money making blog that really makes some mommy money on the side.... I'm just going to write, cause that's what I need to do right now.
I have currently started seriously going through all my photos over the past 7 years. I keep saying... I really need to organize all my pictures so that I don't lose them. Well I keep thinking someday someday someday I'll do it but, the reality is if I don't do it now, I never will. So, I have looked into everything from tools to start scrapbooking, to ways to document and store photos. I don't really know what the best way it is. Someone says on your hard drive, another person says on a CD, still others say online, but there are a thousand different options for doing it online and who really knows what the best way is. So, after quite a bit of research, I think I'm gonna start with Google drive. You get 16 gigs of free storage, but before I can even do that, I need to widdle down my 5k photos into a neat 500 i think... I know, I'm ridiculous. I have photos upon photos upon photos, I think I even have photos of me taking photos. Crazy.
Well anyway, here's starting things right? Cheers.
